Certification
The certification component of the MAT program is 50-58 credits, depending on endorsement area. Approximately one-quarter of these credits are allocated for a 70-day (14-week) internship. 完成认证课程, 实习要求, 通过项目评估的候选人有资格获得华盛顿实习教师证书. This certificate enables candidates to teach in public and private schools in Washington state.
Candidates in the Master of Arts in Teaching program are recommended for certification by:

课程与实习
Coursework begins in the autumn with online and on-campus classes in learning theory, 一般教学方法, education reform, 教育技术. Coursework varies depending on endorsement area to provide discipline-specific emphasis.
实习开始于第二年的冬季中期. Candidates are paired with a mentor teacher and university field supervisor in a school setting. Internship is 70 days, or 14 weeks (the 70-day requirement does not include days off for mid-winter or spring vacations). 候选人在实习期间继续完成课程. 额外的实地工作包括项目第一年的40小时春季实地经验和项目第二年开始的20小时秋季实地经验.

完成MAT学位
